On February 14th, the 2023 Sino-Canadian Healthy Aging Forum in Chengdu was successfully held at the Homeland Hotel in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, co-hosted by the Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing and the Chengdu Health Service Industry Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, Chengdu Civil Affairs Bureau, Chengdu Health Commission, Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Canadian Trade Office in Chengdu.
Dr. Lanning Tian, Chairwoman of Zhongguancun SSIDC Smart Health and Senior Care Industrial Alliance, participated in the event and conducted a roadshow on behalf of the Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan), a partner in the project. She shared information about the long-term care senior management training program conducted jointly by both sides and exchanged ideas with representatives from Chengdu to explore further possibilities for collaboration.

More than 160 representatives from medical institutions, entrepreneurs, and chambers of commerce from China and Canada attended the event, including Samantha Tam from the Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing, Yu Jian, Chairman of the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce, Sheng Chengmin, Vice Chairman of the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of the Chengdu Civil Affairs Bureau, Xiong Min, Deputy Director of the America and Oceania Division of the Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, Ren Xi, Deputy Director of the Science, Education and Service Division of the Chengdu Health Commission, and Shi Jun, President of the Chengdu Health Service Industry Chamber of Commerce.
"Promoting international exchange and cooperation" is a key focus of the "Joint Action" initiative by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Management Committee. In 2023, SSIDC Alliance will actively carry out international exchange activities to enhance its ability to serve enterprises in internationalization.
