Senior Service Informatics Development Committee

General Introduction

Senior Service Informatics Development Committee (hereinafter referred as SSIDC) is one of the committees under China Association of Social Welfare.

In order to meet the demands of the development of information and technology in aged care and make full use of the roles of IT enterprises, research institutes and relevant parties, SSIDC is established for the research, development, promotion and application of IT in senior care, with the aim to assist the development of social senior care system in China.

Scope of Work

The major tasks of SSIDC are below but not limited to:

1.Undertake the research, design, data analysis, consulting and relevant services of senior care informatics, including the formulation of standards and regulations of senior services informatics, and technical consulting and services for local departments of civil affairs and aged care providers.

2.Cooperate with IT enterprises in projects, field research, application and promotion of IT in aged care, including the accreditation of senior care information platform, the promotion of new technology in senior care industry, the research, promotion and pilot of IT application for aged services.

3.Organize meetings, trainings, international exchanges in senior service informatics, mainly meetings, forums, symposiums in the field of senior care informatics, professional training of IT staff in senior care industry, domestic and international exchanges of senior care informatics.

4.Submit the research reports on senior service informatics written by members to China Association of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Organization Structure

SSIDC has a director-general as its leader for a five-year term, who can serve on consecutive terms. The director-general has the following responsibilities.
1. Report to Secretary General of China Association of Social Welfare and assist other leaders to complete daily work.
2. Set goals for SSDIC and carry out annual work plan.
3. Organize and chair the meetings of SSIDC, and sign relevant documents as the representative of SSIDC.
4. Establish effective workflow and conduct administrative affairs of SSIDC.

How to Become a Member

There are three types of SSIDC members:

1.Key member

2.Regular member

3.Expert member

A company, or institution or an expert whose activities are consistent with the aims and objectives of SSIDC may be admitted as a member. Application to be the member of SSIDC must meet the following conditions:

1.Key member

1)Agree the objectives of SSIDC and pay membership dues.

2)Have the leading technology or the pioneering role in the field of information and technology for aged care, or have the value for pilot and application.

2.Regular member

Agree the objectives of SSIDC and pay membership dues.
3.Expert member
Agree the objectives of SSIDC, work for the development of aged care or information and technology, and has senior profession title.
　
How to become a member?
1.Submit a written application form to SSIDC.
2.Sign an agreement for key membership (for key members only).
3.Pay membership dues (50,000 RMB/year for key member, 5,000 RMB/year for regular member).
4.Become a member after SSIDC's verification.

Member Benefits

1.Members will be able to receive SSIDC newsletter Intelligent Senior Service Outlook issued monthly by SSIDC.

2.Members will be able to attend the brainstorming salons organized by SSIDC to share their technology and products.

3.Members can promote their technologies and products through SSIDC website, and Welfare China, a magazine issued by China Association of Social Welfare bi-monthly, and other channels.

4.SSIDC will provide channels for members to showcase their technologies and products, and help collect feedbacks.

5.Members can enjoy discount to attend the forums, seminars, trainings and other activities organized by SSIDC.

6.Members will be informed timely of those activities organized by SSIDC and such activities will be also published on the website in advance.

7.Members can receive Welfare China, a magazine issued by China Association of Social Welfare in a year for free.

8.Key members will be able to participate in the formulation process of standards and the implementation of information and technology in aged care.

Regular members can be the candidate of key members.
